With a name like Vaseline Alley, there’s no way this iconic LA cruising area could be left off Sniffies’ list of top cruising locations.
Locals on the Sniffies map note that while the foliage near the tennis courts is enough cover for daytime cruising, the area by the tennis courts is best for night time action, as it’s out in the open. Here, you better come correct or be prepared for a stare down with scathing judgment.
The well-stocked wine and liquor aisle is particularly meeting-friendly. With gardening, renovation and DIY as an icebreaker, this builder’s emporium is a fertile meeting ground for guys with a penchant for power tools, sweaty conversations and nailing things. However, if you are checked in at Vaseline Alley on Foursquare or spotted knocking on the window of a parked car in the shadows, your deniability will suffer a significant loss of plausibility.
